Telangana Jagruti president Kalvakurthi Kavitha, on Monday, released black doves at the historic Charminar, as a mark of protest against the State's AP Formation Day celebrations.
Talking to media person later, Kavitha expressed the hope that dream of the people of Telangana - that of a separate State - will come true as soon as the Justice SriKrishna Committee submits its report to the Centre.
She added that the people of Telangana have been facing continued injustice from the leaders of the Seemandhra region.
The Telangana Jagruti president said that people have gathered at the Charminar, a symbol of peace, to fight against the government's decision to celebrate the AP Formation Day in the Telangana region.

TRS leaders and activists showed their protest by pinning black flaps on their shoulders.
Meanwhile, Telangana Movement Foundation Forum, MPJ (Movement for Peace and Justice) and Telangana Co-ordinate Committee also staged protests at the Charminar.
Some of the members managed to climb up to the first storey of the Charminar and wave black flags. The police immediately closed the gates and prevented even tourists from entering the monument.
Zahed Ali Khan (Editor, Siasat Urdu Daily), G Srinivas, Rajendar Babu, and P J Sury were also present.
Zahed Ali Khan expressed the hope that this would be the last time that the Formation Day celebrations would be held in Telangana. He said that by next year the dream of a separate State would have been achieved.
