44 new coronavirus positive cases were reported in Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours, taking to the total number of cases to 647.
565 of the 647 cases are active.
Of the new cases, 26 were in Kurnool district, 6 in Krishna, 5 in East Godavari, 3 each in Anantapur and Guntur, and one in Visakhapatnam.
Overall, Kurnool has the maximum number of identified infections (158), followed by Guntur (128), Krishna (75), Nellore (68) and Prakasam (44).
The pandemic has also claimed 17 lives so far in the state.
Telangana reported 49 new cases today, taking the total number of infections to 858. 651 of them are active, since 186 have recovered and 26 have passed away.
448 of Telangana's 858 cases are from Hyderabad. The next highest is Nizamabad, with 58 cases.
CM KCR extended the lockdown in the state to May 7 today.
