Jagan Announces Rs 1,000 Crore More For Covid

The CM said that the government would establish another 54 hospitals across the state for the treatment of Covid-19 patients.

The Chief Minister of the state Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today announced that his government would spend another Rs 1,000 crore for the prevention of the spread of the coronavirus.

He said that his government would also spend money for the recruitment of doctors and paramedical staff, and on the improvement of infrastructure in all the hospitals of the state.

The CM made these announcements while holding a review meeting on the status of the virus in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government would establish another 54 hospitals across the state for the treatment of Covid-19 patients.

He said that the state now had a total of 154 hospitals with critical care facilities, and that five more government hospitals were being equipped with critical care infrastructure.

The CM said that the state now had 2,380 critical care beds.
