With the general election fever gripping the nation, TDP supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has been holding review meetings Lok Sabha constituency-wise for a few days to finalize a list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha as well as the Assembly elections.
The TDP supremo has reportedly decided to release a list of over 100 candidates in the first phase for the Assembly elections. The TDP leadership, which reached a consensus on the candidates very likely to win, is preparing to release the list on March 12 or 13.
Naidu has reportedly kept the decisions on the candidates for some controversial constituencies pending. He has reportedly constituted a three-member committee comprising former union minister Sujana Chowdary, Budha Venkanna and Varla Ramaiah under the supervision of finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu to make suggestions on the candidates for these constituencies. The committee will talk to the warring candidates in the party and finalize the list.
