AP GENCO has entered the solar power generation space, and has successfully completed the 1 MW solar PV plant.
The 1.0 MW Photo Voltaic cell based solar power plant, installed at Priyadharsini Jurala Hydro Electric Project, will start functioning from Saturday, 31 December.
The AP GENCO facility was commissioned on 29 December and synchronised on Friday, and will start operating from 31 December, according to an official release.
This project was allocated to AP GENCO under the JNNSM (Jawahar Lal Nehru National Solar Mission) Phase - I program by IREDA (Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency), Government of India, the release said.
The total cost of the project is Rs. 12.8 crores, and the designed annual energy production is 1.4 MU. Power will be fed into the 11 KV system of CPDCL at Gadwal, Mahbubnagar district.
As per the guidelines of JNNSM Phase-I, Rs. 17.91 / unit will be paid for by the power generated from this plant. (INN)
