AP To Construct Multi-Specialty Hospitals For Tribals

The Andhra Pradesh government has allocated a huge amount of funds for the welfare of the tribals in its annual budget.

The Andhra Pradesh government has allocated a huge amount of funds for the welfare of the tribals in its annual budget.

And a good part of them will go towards constructing six multi-specialty hospitals for them.

The hospitals will come up in Seethampeta, Parvathipuram, Rampachodavaram, Chintoor, K R Puram and Srisailam.

In addition, the government has also decided to set up a government medical college called YSR Medical College at Paderu of Visakhapatnam district.

Enough funds have been proposed in the budget to set up the hospitals and the medical college.

The government will also construct a tribal university in Vizianagaram district to bring higher education to the doorsteps of the tribals and to allow them to do research alongside protecting their culture and heritage.

The details of the budgetary allocations for the tribal welfare department of the state were announced by the Finance Minister B Rajendranath Reddy during his budget speech in the Assembly today.
