AP CM Upset Over Telangana Dictating Terms
Naidu said that only now, a year after the bifurcation, and after gauging the pulse of the settlers in Hyderabad, was the issue of Section 8 being raised.
AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu questioned the authority of the Telangana government to dictate terms to AP ministers and leaders, especially in the joint capital of Hyderabad.
Addressing a large meeting of Telugu Desam Party leaders and workers at Vijayawada on Saturday, he accused the neighboring state of creating hurdles over trivial issues. Electricity employees belonging to AP were suddenly discharged without any notice, he pointed out, and hoped that the Centre and Governor would intervene and resolve the matter at the earliest.
Pointing out that one year was over after the bifurcation of united Andhra Pradesh, Naidu said that only now, after gauging the pulse of the settlers in Hyderabad, the issue of invoking Section 8 of the AP Reorganization Act was being raised.
His endeavor was that the two Telugu states should complement each other in development and welfare activities, and not be at loggerheads over trivial issues, he asseverated.
He also stressed upon the need for more coordination and cooperation between the elected representatives and the party workers. He also wanted more importance to be given to the welfare of the party cadre. The leaders and cadre should jointly overcome all hurdles in taking forward the implementation of the party's policies and programs, he said.
He also emphasized the need for implementing all the decisions taken during the recent Mahanadu by formulating an action plan in which all should become partners to achieve the set goals. (NSS)
