Finance minister Anam Vivekananda Reddy on Saturday informed the state Legislative Assembly that the state government has given its in-principle approval for "Project Anantha" in Anantapur district, to link agriculture with allied sectors.
Replying to a question raised by MLA Madhusudan during Question Hour, the minister said that the government has constituted a state-Level steering committee and a project-level implementation and monitoring unit, with the state project director (Project Anantha) as chairperson. "The SLPSC will work out the modalities," he said.
He said that retired IAS officer K Chandramouli has been appointed as the state project director. The expenditure will be met by converging the state annual plan funds and the funds of the government of India of the line departments, said Anam. (INN)
