The BJP leader and union home minister made these remarks while addressing a Jana Garjana public meeting held by the party in Suryapet district.
Hyderabad | 27th October 2023
Union Home Minister Amit Shah today slammed the ruling BRS and the Congress.

He alleged that the leaders of the two parties were working only for the welfares of their family members, and had not done anything for Telangana. He also claimed that CM K Chandrashekar Rao's primary aim now was to make his son K T Rama Rao the next CM of the State. The BJP on the contrary would have the betterment of the poor in the State as its sole agenda.

He made these remarks while addressing a Jana Garjana public meeting held by the party in Suryapet district. Speaking on the occasion, he alleged that the BRS had done lots of injustice to the dalits and the BCs of the State, and pointed out that KCR had broken his promise of making a dalit the first Chief Minister of the State. He also asked KCR what had happened to his promise of giving three acres of land to the landless dalits of the State.

Shah also asked what the BRS government had done for the BCs. He claimed that the BJP was the polar opposite in how committed it was to the BCs, and claimed that for the first time since independence, PM Modi had done justice to the BCs by setting up a National BC Commission. Going one step further, he announced that the BJP would make a BC leader the CM if the party came to power in Telangana.

Shah also claimed that the BJP was committed to the development of the tribals, too, and pointed to the recently sanctioned tribal university in Telangana. He said that if Telangana wanted holistic development, the BJP needed to win in the upcoming elections.
