In a relief to Tamil Nadu Governor Konijeti Rosaiah, the Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday dismissed a case filed against him and others in with regard to land in Ameerpet.
A case had been registered against Rosaiah, who was then Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, and others on charges of de-notifying a government land of about 9.14 acres thus benefiting some private persons in 2010.
Rosaiah later became the Governor of Tamil Nadu.
The High Court had stayed an order of a designated ACB court which had issued summons to Rosaiah to appear before it. The High Court had observed that the orders of the ACB court were in violation of Article 361 of the Constitution, and that the issue of summons to a State Governor was not valid.
The court set aside the case for lack of sufficient evidence.
