Ambani Man Gets Rajya Sabha Ticket From Jagan
The YSR Congress Party announced Mopidevi Venkataramana, Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy and Parimal Nathwani as its candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections.
The YSR Congress Party on Monday announced the names of Mopidevi Venkataramana, Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy and Parimal Nathwani as its candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.
Nathwani, Group President of Reliance Industries Limited and a confidante of Mukesh Ambani, profusely thanked Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for nominating him for a Rajya Sabha set.
"I sincerely thank Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and his party for considering me as their Rajya Sabha candidate from Andhra Pradesh. I committed to serve the people of Andhra Pradesh (sic)," Nathvani said in a tweet.
Nathwani has already been elected twice as a Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand as an independent - once in 2008 and again in 2014 - and will be retiring from the upper house of Parliament on April 9. The nomination from Jagan will pave the way for Nathwani to get elected for a third term.
Recently Mukesh Ambani, accompanied by his son Anant and Nathwani, had met Jagan at the latter's residence in Amaravathi.
