Telangana MA&UD and IT Minister K T Rama Rao today said that all the Congress leaders in Telangana except TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy and CLP leader K Jana Reddy were ready to join the TRS, and ridiculed the Congress for "dreaming of coming back to power".
Speaking with mediapersons at Nizamabad, the minister also accused Uttam Kumar Reddy and Jana Reddy of making false allegations of corruption against the TRS. He alleged that it was in fact the Congress that had looted the country and its people through corruption in every program.
KTR also rubbished Uttam Kumar Reddy's comment that the Congress would come to power by winning 75 Assembly seats in the state in 2019. The Congress would not win even 20 seats in 2019 as the people were aware of the 186 cases that it had moved against the irrigation projects and how it was stalling growth, he claimed.
Speaking about AICC chief Rahul Gandhi's forthcoming visit, KTR wondered how Gandhi who had failed to win even municipal elections in Amethi could transform the destiny of his party in Telangana. He also took a cruel dig at the Congress leaders of the state saying they needed permission from their high command to even go to the toilet.
