Two pilots, including a woman pilot, were injured when an Air Force training aircraft exploded and crashed at Duddeda in Siddipet district of Telangana on Friday.
The aircraft, which took off from the Hakimpet Air Force Training Academy, developed a technical snag within minutes after taking off.
As the pilot and co-pilot were trying to crash-land the aircraft, pilot Reshmi tried to jump down and suffered injuries to her leg.
Both the crew members were rushed to the Siddipet government hospital and later shifted to a private hospital in the city. Their condition was stated to be stable.
The aircraft was reduced to ashes.
It may be recalled that a training aircraft of the same college had crashed near Keesara on the outskirts of Hyderabad last month.
