In a shocking incident, an advocate was brutally stabbed to death in broad daylight, within the Chandanagar Police station limits, on Saturday morning.
According to Chandangar Inspector B Surender Rao, the victim, Ashok Reddy (45), was murdered right outside the Serilingampally Mandal Revenue Office (MRO) at 10:30am.
Surender Rao revealed that there were 4 men involved in the attack.
The police believe that a dispute over a plot of land at Nanakramguda was the reason behind Reddy's murder. The land, believed to be worth Rs. 35 crores, is said to be the cause of dispute between one Sanjeeva Reddy and Dasarath Reddy.
Relatives of the deceased alleged that the local politicians were indirectly involved in the brutal murder. The advocate's body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital.
The Chandanagar police has registered a case against the guilty and has launched a manhunt for them.
