Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has demanded that the Aam Aadmi Party tender an unconditional apology for including the name of AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi in its list of corrupt politicians.
Speaking to media persons on Saturday, Ponguleti said that the allegations of corruption against Rahul Gandhi were baseless and were aimed at tarnishing his image. "By naming Rahul Gandhi, the AAP has exhibited its enmity towards the AICC vice-president," he said.
He said that Rahul Gandhi had never indulged in corruption and had never even tolerated such practices.
Ponguleti expressed surprise that the AAP spared Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi from the list of corrupt politicians. He said that the exclusion clearly indicates that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has a soft corner towards the BJP, and that his party could sail with Modi in future. (INN)
