There is no respite for the Andhra Pradesh government from the growing number of coronavirus cases in the state.
The state recorded 80 more cases during the last 24 hours, identified from the 6,517 samples tested by the authorities today.
With this, the total number of coronavirus positive cases in the state has reached 1,177.
The authorities of the health, medical and family welfare department said that a total of 31 people had died so far in the state due to the coronavirus. They also said that 235 people infected by the virus had been discharged from the hospitals after their recovery.
The state thus currently has 911 active patients undergoing treatment at different hospitals for Covid-19, the disease caused by the virus.
The state did not register any deaths during the last 24 hours. However, four employees of the Raj Bhavan of the state tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.
