The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen will celebrate its 55th anniversary at the party's headquarters Dar-ul-salaam here on Saturday.
In view of the recent twin blasts at Dilsukhnagar, the MIM has decided to keep the celebrations a low-key affair. Unlike in the past, when a grand rally used to be organised from MIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi's residence at Hyderguda to the party's headquarters, this year, the event will be confined to a flag hoisting at 10am on Saturday. Asad Owaisi will also deliver a speech on the occasion. (INN)
