Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Mahesh Bhagwat today said that the commissionerate was taking action against all those not following the lockdown rules and mandatory Covid-19 norms.
He made these remarks after unveiling 16 vehicles meant for the She teams.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the commissionerate officers had booked 21,000 cases against lockdown violators so far.
He also said that 6,000 cases had been booked against those who did not wear face masks.
Bhagwat also warned of stern action against those who sold Remdesivir and oxygen cylinders for higher prices or illegally.
The Hyderabad police have reportedly been strictly implementing the lockdown as mandated by the DGP of the state. They have set up 330 check posts in the GHMC limits to carry out their checking operations, and are taking action against those who are coming on to the roads without any reason and also seizing vehicles that do not have proper documents.
