The Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) for 2019 will be conducted from May 3.

The schedule for all the Common Entrance Tests (CETs) was announced by the Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) today.

This year, the entrance test for admissions into engineering courses will be held on May 3, 4 and 6, and that for agriculture and medical courses will be held on May 8 and 9. Both the tests will be held in two sessions - from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Like it does every year, the Council has entrusted the job of conducting the EAMCET to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH). The JNTUH has also been entrusted with the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) which will be held on May 11. It will be conducted for Polytechnic students and B Sc (Mathematics) degree holders for lateral entry into engineering courses.

The Osmania University will be conducting four CETs including LawCET and PG LawCET on May 26, the Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) from May 27 to 29, and the Education Common Entrance Test (EdCET) on May 30 and 31. The Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) for admissions into MBA courses will be conducted by Kakatiya University on May 23 and 24, and the Physical Education Common Entrance Test (PECET) will be held by Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda, on May 20.

Prof T Papi Reddy, Chairman, TSCHE, said that except for the PECET, all the CETs would be conducted through the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. This year too the services of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) would be utilized in conducting the CBTs, he added.
