Hyderabad police nabbed 2 notorious thieves and recovered 560 gm of gold ornaments.
Hyderabad police on Tuesday nabbed 2 brothers who had earned notoriety as the 'Habeeb Brothers Gang', and recovered 560 gm of gold ornaments from them.
According to police, the accused, Habeeb Yousuf (45 ) and Habeeb Mohammed (23) are notorious offenders and are known as Habeeb Brothers Gang.
The gang is accused of being involved in 17 chain-snatching cases, 7 house burglary offences, and 1 vehicle theft in the limits of Hyderabad. 560 grams of gold ornaments, electronic items and a Hero Honda motor cycle have been recovered from their possession.
This gang consists of 6 brothers and 3 sisters belonging to 1 family. They commit snatching and house breaking offences within various police station limits in Hyderabad and Cyberabad. The male members of the family commit offences and female members dispose off the stolen articles. Presently, other members of the gang are in jail as under trial prisoners. This gang has committed more than 200 offences in the limits of Hyderabad and Cyberabad.
The police said that Habeeb Yousuf had taken to committing offences since 1986. He committed offences in Rein Bazar, Madannapet, Santoshnagar, Kanchanbagh, Bajara hills, Vanasthalipuram, Tappachabutra and Afzalgunj areas.
Habeeb Mohammed is the youngest member of the Habeeb Brothers Gang and a potent criminal. He is accused of being involved in a series of snatching offences along with his elder brother Yosuf. During day time he will commit snatching offences, and house breaking at night. He started committing offences in 2003.
Mohammed had committed a number of house breakings in the limits of Langerhouse, Mirchowk, Rajendranagar, Hussainialam, Dabeerpura, Chandrayangutta, and Falaknuma Police stations.
