About 154 films from about 13 countries will be screened in 13 theatres, as part of the 17th International Children's Film Festival, which began in Hyderabad on Monday.
Gattu, a film directed by Rajan Khosa, will be the opening movie. The film speaks of kites and kids' obsession with them, and how a kid with almost no resources dreams big and achieves his dreams.
The 7-day festival has a bouquet of sections - competition, Indian films, country focus, short competition, little directors' section. Chinese films will be screened in the country focus section. (INN)
