Declaring that the Congress, which had been busy finalising the Mahakootami seat-sharing formula so far, was finally ready to take on the ruling TRS on the streets in the heat and dust of the election campaigning, Congress leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that the party would begin its campaign in Telangana on November 15.
Bhatti also said that AICC chief Rahul Gandhi and former chief Sonia Gandhi would also be part of the campaigning, and would address more than 10 public meetings in the state.
Bhatti said that though there were a few contentious issues to be resolved in the seat-sharing exercise, the party was still able to take time out to finalize its poll agenda in time.
Bhatti also said that seat-sharing was not sharing the assets of the state. "The allies of the Mahakootami are sharing seats only to dethrone the KCR family from Telangana," he said. He also slammed the TRS leadership for violating the model code of conduct, and for luring people on the basis of caste and community.
