To make Telangana a surplus State in the power sector, the Telangana government had taken a decision to fill 1,422 posts in the electricity department, Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy announced at the Secretariat.
Talking to mediapersons, the minister said that the posts would be filled in a transparent manner, and that the candidates should not trust brokers or others who may lure them by offering jobs.
He appealed to the engineering graduates planning to appear for the examination to prepare thoroughly and complain to 8332983914 against such persons.
The candidates selected would join duties from January 1 2016, as the examinations for various posts would be conducted by the end of November 2015 and the appointment letters would be given by December, he said
He added that the details would be provided online.
He also said that the government was committed to keeping the promises it made to provide nine-hour power supply for the farming activity in the State.
The minister alleged that the previous governments' negligence and failure to address the grievances of the farmers was leading to their suicides.
"Farmers should not end their lives as good days are coming under the TRS government," he promised.
