Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao enhanced the Marriage Incentive Award given to people marrying differently abled persons (Divyangas) in the state from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,00,000.
According to informed sources, the Chief Minister signed the concerned file this afternoon.

Earlier, too, the TRS government had indicated that it was taking steps to ensure equality for the differently abled. It enhanced job reservations for the community from 3% to 4% in keeping with the new Rights Of Persons With Disabilities Bill, started work on the first "differently-friendly" IT Park, and also proposed pre- and post-matric schlorships to students of the community.
