YSV Hijacked Jagan's Plans: Surekha

Former Minister Konda Surekha, a staunch loyalist of former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, on Monday accused Agriculture Minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy (YSV) of hijacking his (Jagan's) plans of rebutting the baseless charges leveled by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) against former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

Talking to mediapersons at Assembly media-point, the former Minister stated that the MLAs belonging to Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's group will not tolerate 'the targeting of the YSR family with baseless charges'.

Surekha pointed out that the MLAs of the Jagan group have been rebutting the cited charges against the late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in the House since the past 2 days. She said that Vivekananda Reddy had hijacked their plans on Monday.

Offended by the placard displayed by a TDP MLA with the words, 'YSR group of robbers', the former Minister said that the TDP has condescended to such low levels that it was slandering a deceased person.

Reacting to reports about Vivekananda Reddy attacking TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar in the House, Surekha stated that the Jagan group MLAs are not connected with the incident.

She also found fault with the media reports that aligned YSV with the Jagan group, and pointed out that he was a Minister of the Kiran Kumar Reddy cabinet.
