Hopefully putting to rest all the speculation doing the rounds, especially after TV5's rumour-mongering last week, the team investigating the YSR chopper-crash for the last 3 months has ruled out any foul-play in YSR's death.
An officer of the team, Tyagi, has said that the chopper was in perfect flying condition, and that it was high cloud density in rainy terrain that rendered visibility extremely poor, leading to the crash. The chopper also failed to receive signals due to the inclement weather in the Nallamalla forest terrain.
The team debunked the report of the Russian website TheExiled that touted a conspiracy behind the murder (associating the Ambanis with it). It submitted its report to the government on the 15th.
Telugu TV channel TV5 carried a report last week based on a news item that appeared in the website of a Russian magazine called The Exiled, 3 months back, that the Ambanis were allegedly behind the death of YSR in the crash. The report was picked up by some other Telugu TV news channels, too, resulting in several Congress workers attacking properties of Reliance in Andhra Pradesh, a furious rebuttal and threat of legal action by Reliance, and arrests of senior employees of TV9.
