A cabinet which never met to address the people's problems is constantly going into a huddle now, remarks YSR Congress leader Roja.
The Congress is in a cocoon of confusion, and cracks seem to have developed in the cabinet, while there is an influx into the YSR Congress from other parties, in support of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who has been targeted by conspirators, says the YSRC.
"A cabinet which never met to address the people's problems has been constantly going into a huddle, while leaders of various political parties are expressing solidarity with Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who is being questioned for the second day by the CBI," party spokesperson Roja told reporters on Saturday.
Brushing aside comments that the then ministers who had signed the 26 GOs had done so under duress, and upon the orders of YSR, she questioned why they did not protest or mention it even 3 years after YSR's death.
"Are the ministers signing GOs, including the resignation letter signed by Mopidevi Venkataramana before his arrest, under duress even now?" she asked.
As the Congress is attributing the success of the party in the state to Sonia Gandhi, and since many leaders are of the opinion that they won because of the Congress president, why take YSR's name and blame him, she asked.
The state government not responding to the Supreme Court's notice on 26 GOs was a strategic move then to target Jagan, and when it backfired, everyone is trying to blame YSR, she said.
Reiterating that any cabinet decision is a collective decision, she said that all Congress ministers must speak up about the veracity of the GOs.
"No one can stop the influx; with senior leaders like Dr. M V Mysoora Reddy joining the party, and people like Sabbam Hari, Allani Nani expressing solidarity, YSRC is poised for a major win in the 12 June by-polls," she opined.
Meanwhile, Bobbili MLA Sujana Venkata Ranga Rao called on the party honourary president Y S Vijayamma, and expressed full support to the family.
"Jagan Mohan Reddy has been cooperating with the CBI, and the question of arrest does not arise," said the party MLC, Jupudi Prabhakar Rao, who went with Jagan to Dilkusha guest house on Saturday.
He appealed to the anxious cadre not to panic, and to maintain calm and peace. The party cadre was being stopped at various places, and many of them were being harassed by the police, he said. (INN)
