Rajasulochana, a heroine yesteryears who held sway in the 1950s and 60s, passed away in Chennai today due to acute ill health. She was 79 at the time of her death.
Rajasulochana had acted with all the top stars of her time, including NTR, ANR, MGR, Shivaji Ganeshan, and Raj Kumar. She was also a dancer of repute.
The Viayawada born star was known for her glamorous roles as well as dance sequences. She acted in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films.
Some of her super hit movies include Santi Nivasam, Raja Mukutam, Mahakavi Kalidasu, and Iddaru Mitrulu.
She also made a comeback in 1980s, and played vamp roles. She is survived by her director / writer husband C S Rao, a son, and two daughters. (INN)
