CBI Wants Narco Test On Vijay Sai

The CBI seeks permission to conduct a narco-analysis test on Jagathi Publications vice-chairman Vijay Sai Reddy.
Hyderabad | 25th January 2012
The CBI special court, on Wednesday, adjourned the hearing of a petition in which the CBI has sought permission to conduct a narco-analysis test on Jagathi Publications vice-chairman Vijay Sai Reddy, to January 30.

Vijay Sai Reddy was arrested in connection with the case of the alleged disproportionate assets of YSR Congress party president Jaganmohan Reddy.

The court adjourned the hearing after Vijay Sai Reddy's counsel sought time to file a counter petition in this connection.

Earlier, the probing agency had moved a petition before the court, seeking its nod to conduct the narco test at Bangalore or Ahmedabad.

The CBI had claimed that Vijay Sai Reddy was not revealing the facts in connection with the illegal assets case despite frequent questioning.

The CBI told the court that unless Vijay Sai Reddy reveals the facts, it would be difficult to unravel the conspiracy.

The CBI said that Vijay Sai Reddy had played a key role in floating dozens of companies, and that he had mobilised investments from various companies, both from India and abroad, for Y S Jagan. (INN)
