Accusing the previous Congress regime of looting public money in the housing scheme and irrigation projects, Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said that the Telangana government would expose its misdeeds in the coming monsoon session of the Telangana Legislative Assembly and take serious action against those involved.
Addressing a media conference at Secretariat on Thursday, the minister said that he was hurt at the comments of "Tughlaq" and "Taliban" made by former minister Shabbir Ali in reference to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Ever since it came to power, the TRS government was vouching for the people's welfare, and all its schemes spoke volumes, he said.
He flayed the opposition for raising a hue and cry for just political mileage.
The Osmania General Hospital shifting was imminent not withstanding the objections by the opposition parties, as JNTU architects had made it clear that the old building was on the verge of collapse and repairs would not help, he stated.
Asked about the growing contention of a cross-section of people, alumni of the OGH and political parties that that was not the case, he said, "We need to protect the lives of the patients and doctors who are in utter fear that anything might happen anytime."
Downplaying the criticism on the removal of ration cards in Sanathnagar, Yadav said that the government would proceed with the norms in eliminating bogus cards.
