Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao today said that the state government would encourage women entrepreneurs even more.
Delivering the valedictory of the three-day GES 2017 at HICC, the minister said that there was a need for increasing the number of women entrepreneurs in Telangana, and that the government would take all necessary steps in that direction. The government would encourage women SMEs in its procurement process, and provide a "T Fund" for entrepreneurs, he said.
He also said that the summit was quite successful due to the efforts of a lot of people and bodies. Niti Ayog played a key role in the event, he said, and extended thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching the program, and to Ivanka Trump, daughter of and adviser to US President Donald Trump, for bringing enormous energy to it.
The state had learnt many things from the global event, and the success of the summit would improve the bilateral ties between the US and Telangana, he added.
The minister also said that both Modi and Trump had appreciated T Hub for encouraging startups, and that it would now guide other four states to start similar initiatives.
