The Telugu Desam Party, on Sunday, demanded that chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy issue a clarification citing the reasons for the delay in taking a decision on the resignation of Roads & Buildings minister B Dharmana Prasad Rao.
Talking to reporters, senior TDP leader K Yerran Naidu said that the Chief Minister has been deliberately delaying the decision on the fate of Dharmana Prasad Rao, who had submitted his resignation from the state cabinet after he was named an accused in the CBI chargesheet in the disproportionate assets case of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
He alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy was shielding tainted ministers for political reasons at the instance of the Congress high command.
The TDP leader also slammed the state government for not releasing water for the Krishna Delta region from the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam. He said that lakhs of farmers would get affected if the water was not released immediately.
He also accused the Congress government of going back on the promises it had made in its election manifesto. He said that several schemes, including the fee reimbursement scheme, promised by the Congress, have been diluted. (INN)
