Andhra Pradesh raised objections to the indent raised by Telangana to utilise the water that it had not used last year.
The AP government said that the request of Telangana was not tenable as the financial year 2019-20 ended on March 31, and that it was improper.
The ENC of Andhra Pradesh Narayana Reddy wrote a letter to KRMB member secretary Harikesh Meena to this effect.
Reddy said that the AP government didn't have any objection to the request of the Telangana government to seek the 36.10 TMC of water, but that the water should be counted as part of Telangana's quota for the year 2020-21.
Meanwhile, the AP government urged the Krishna River Management Board to stop the release of waters to Nagarjuna Sagar from the Srisailam left power house.
