Telangana Congress' star campaigner Vijayashanti has reiterated that she would not contest the Assembly elections, and would only campaign for the party's victory in the upcoming elections.
Speaking to the media today, the yesteryear actress said that the TRS hadn't told her why it had suspended her yet. She claimed that the suspension might have been due to fears that she might become a hurdle to KTR's and Kavitha's political careers.
Vijayashanti ridiculed KCR for failing to bring together political parties for his proposed Federal Front. She also scoffed at his claim that he had achieved statehood for Telangana by forcing the Congress to grant it. And she pointed out that KCR had gone back on his word of merging the TRS with the Congress, and asked how anyone could believe the man after that.
Claiming that her goal was only to bring the Congress to power, Vijayashanti said that she would campaign in 430 mandals, and that the party was working on the campaign schedule.
