VHR Happy With Ponnala For Convening MPs Meeting

Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao expressed satisfaction with the meeting of Congress Party MPs convened by TPCC Chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday.

Speaking to media persons, VHR admitted that the MPs were not happy that they were not being invited to participate in the Party's programmes. He said that the MPs and former MPs were feeling ignored. Therefore, the MPs had decided to convene a meeting at the Madina Education Centre.

However, Ponnala personally called everyone and held the meeting at Gandhi Bhavan on a cordial atmosphere.

VHR said that Ponnala had asked all the MPs and those who lost the recent Lok Sabha elections to play an active role in the Party's activities.

He said that a special drive would be launched to highlight the role played by AICC President Sonia Gandhi in giving statehood to Telangana. (INN)
