Congress senior leader V Hanumantha Rao alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was contemplating constructing a new secretariat at Bison Polo grounds by wasting public money due to belief that the vaasthu would enable his son and IT Minister K T Rama Rao become CM.
After launching a protest against the proposed construction of a new Secretariat at the grounds near Paradise and at the Secunderabad Gymkhana Grounds on Tuesday, VHR said that not only was public money going to be wasted, injustice would also be done to upcoming sportspersons if a new secretariat was constructed at the grounds.
VHR said that someone had told KCR that KTR would become Chief Minister if a new secretariat was constructed at the Bison Polo grounds since the vaasthu there suited KTR, and that that was the reason enormous public money was about to get wasted.
He said that he was gathering public opinion on the proposed new secretariat by conducting a ballot at 20 places in Hyderabad. He said that women and youth participated in ballot enthusiastically. He said that the result would be announced on September 27 at the Somajiguda Press Club.
TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy participated in the ballot at Tolichowki.
