Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) floor leader Etela Rajendra warned the government that agitations over the issue of quota for Telangana lawyers in Judiciary posts would gather more strength if it did not take necessary action.
Talking to media persons on Wednesday after a meeting with Information and Public Relation Minister J Geetha Reddy, Rajender said that a 3-member Panel to solve the problems of lawyers would be a temporary solution.
Rajendra wanted to know why no Telangana candidate was appointed to the post of Advocate-General since the past 53 years, in spite of demands from various quarters.
The TRS floor leader also pointed out the failure of the government to fill the 170 vacancies in District Courts and Munsif Courts with capable persons from the Telangana region.
