TRS Working President and minister K T Rama Rao today said that the party would consider the candidature of senior leader P L Srinivas for the upcoming graduate MLC elections.
The elections for the Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda graduate seats will be held soon.
In this context, the TRS leader gave a request letter to the minister seeking an opportunity to contest the elections on behalf of the TRS.
He said that in the last week minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav had also met with him (Srinivas) on the same subject and had told him that he would also speak with KTR.
Speaking on the occasion, KTR said that he would consider the appeal but that the party would need to take a call.
KTR also recalled that Srinivas had contested in the 2007 MLC elections and lost by a very low margin.
"You have promised to use your seniority to serve the party in this election, and we will keep that in mind," KTR said.
