TRS Snags Another Congress Leader From Ranga Reddy
The ruling TRS has given another shock to the Congress by admitting former minister and senior leader Gaddam Prasad Kumar from the Ranga Reddy district.
The ruling TRS has given yet another shock to the main Opposition party, the Congress, by admitting former minister and senior leader Gaddam Prasad Kumar from the Ranga Reddy district into the Party.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao reportedly gave the green signal for the admission of Kumar into the Party.
A senior minister reportedly wooed Kumar, who expected a ticket from the Ranga Reddy district for the second local body quota MLC seat of the district, and persuaded him not to enter the election fray as the TRS needed more votes to win the seat.
It is learnt that 30 MPTCs and Counsellors are going to join the TRS along with Kumar. The TRS will win even the second MLC seat if these 30 members join it.
It is also learnt that the TRS leadership has decided to give top priority to Kumar and a market committee chairman post to his close follower.
Kumar convened a meeting on Thursday along with his followers at his residence.
