Condemning the repeated "provocative" remarks of Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, TRS MLA Balka Suman today demanded that the former tender an unconditional apology to the Chief Minister immediately.
Addressing mediapersons in Telangana Bhavan, Suman said that Reddy's resorting to the politics of lying and blackmailing showed that he had indeed committed irregularities in the Gopanpally lands dispute.
"Revanth Reddy should immediately apologize for his loose tongue, and also return the disputed lands to the legitimate legal heirs," he said.
The TRS leader also slammed another Congress leader, T Jeevan Reddy, for "relentlessly" criticizing the KCR government, and claimed that that was because he was not able to stomach the "monumental development programs and historic welfare programs for the benefit of the weaker and downtrodden sections in the state".
He claimed that the entire farming community in the state was very happy and satisfied with the TRS and with KCR, but the Congress leaders, who were scornfully rejected by the people election after election, were like fish outside water without power, and were resorting to blackmailing politics to keep themselves relevant and in the news.
Pointing out that the TRS had won all the seats in the recent cooperative societies' elections, Suman said that the people had been favoring the TRS in every election since the last year, swatting aside the Congress. That should tell the Congress leaders who the people believed, he said.
