TRS Manifesto Promises Millions For Farmers
As also 12% reservation for Muslims, implementation of the Sachar Committee recommendations, judicial powers to the Wakf Board, and 14 new districts.

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Friday released its manifesto for the ensuing Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, promising huge sops for all sections of the society, especially farmers.
Speaking on the occasion, TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao promised that the TRS would turn farmers into millionaires.
He promised irrigation water for 1 lakh acres of land in each Assembly segment in the Telangana region.
Besides promising waiver of crop loans up to Rs. 1 lakh, he said new technologies would be adopted to boost agricultural growth.
The TRS also promised 3 acres of land each to landless farmers along with 1 year of financial support for irrigation.
It also said it would turn Telangana into the seed bowl of India.
The TRS has also promised 12% reservation for Muslim community. Besides implementation of the recommendations of Sachar Committee, the TRS has promised to give judicial powers to the State Wakf Board and approach the Supreme Court to restore Wakf properties which have been encroached upon.
The manifesto also promises creation of 14 new districts.
KCR also said that if voted to power the government would pay Rs. 10 lakh each to the families of Telangana martyrs, and provide a government job to one of their next of kin.
The other promises made in the manifesto include:
1. Rs. 1,500 pension for the physically handicapped
2. Rs. 1,000 pension for widows
3. Contract employees to be made permanent
4. Restoration of lakes to their original form
5. Bathukamma to be made official festival
6. Satellite township around Hyderabad
7. Special increments for Telangana employees
8. Salaries on par with Central government employees
9. Double-bedroom flats for BCs
10. 10 new thermal power stations
11. Creation of 1 lakh new jobs in proposed thermal stations
12. Free education from KG to PG
13. Compulsory transfer and promotions of employees once in 3 years
14. Exemption of Transport Tax for auto-rickshaws
15. Computerisation of land records in Telangana
