TRS Government Implementing RSS Agenda: Congress
The TRS was being remote-controlled by the RSS to target the students opposing casteism and communalism in educational institutions, the Congress alleged.

Leader of Opposition in the Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir accused the TRS government of implementing the "secret agenda" of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of saffronization of education.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, Shabbir Ali said that the recent violent incidents that rocked the University of Hyderabad (UoH) and Osmania University (OU) were clear proof that the TRS government was being remote-controlled by the RSS to target the students who were opposing casteism and communalism in educational institutions.
He alleged that the BJP government at the Centre and the TRS government in Telangana were jointly terrorizing the students, especially those belonging to the Dalit, ST, BC and minority communities.
He alleged that the UoH students protesting against casteism on campus had been brutally beaten up and whisked away to different police stations. Congress MLA Sampath Kumar, who was a dalit, and other dalit leaders were specifically targeted by the police, he added.
The UoH students were also deprived of food, water and electricity, he claimed.
Shabbir Ali also questioned the Cyberabad Police not arresting UoH Vice-Chancellor Appa Rao even after registering a case under the SC/ST Atrocities Act against him. He also demanded that the HRD Ministry clarify how it allowed Appa Rao to continue in the VC post when a judicial commission inquiry was going on.
Welcoming the intervention of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in the case, he said his Party would expose the communal agenda of the BJP and TRS governments. He also demanded that all cases registered against the students be withdrawn and action be taken against the erring policemen.
He also threatened that his Party would launch an agitation to press for the arrest and dismissal of Appa Rao.
