TRS Government Has Failed On All Fronts: Congress
Congress MLCs Shabbir Ali and Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy alleged that the TRS government had totally failed in the agriculture, education and health sectors.
Congress MLCs Mohammed Ali Shabbir and Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy alleged that the TRS government had totally failed in the agriculture, education and health sectors.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Ponguleti and Shabbir Ali said that the farmers were not able to emerge from their debts as the government had failed to implement the third phase of the promised loan waiver.
"It is great injustice to the farmers by the government, which is allocating funds to irrigation projects and the Mission Bhagiratha scheme, but not to the loan waiver scheme," they said.
They also claimed that the farmers were undergoing lots of hardship due to the non-availability of seeds though the Kharif season had started a month ago. Alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had forgotten his assurance of making Telangana the "seed bowl" of the country, Ponguleti pointed out that Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy had himself admitted that the banks were not giving loans to the farmers and that seeds were not reaching them. He also demanded that the minister resign from his post for his poor performance.
Ponguleti and Shabbir Ali also said that hundreds of engineering, pharmacy and other professional colleges had closed down due to the attitude of government though Hyderabad had become an education hub under the previous governments, and also alleged that the government was showing a careless attitude towards the Arogyasri scheme by not giving funds to it.
