Hyderabad | 12th April 2017
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy today declared that the farmers' loans would be waived off in one go if the Congress returned to power in 2019.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday, Reddy made a litany of allegations against the TRS government. He said that the present government had failed to give even a single rupee to the SC and ST entrepreneurs, failed to fill the vacant posts though there were lakhs of jobs in the government, and crushed movements against unemployment.
He demanded that the government immediately fill one lakh vacant posts in the government sector as statehood for Telangana was achieved mainly on the plank of jobs for the youth. The creation of jobs in the private sector had also decreased drastically after the formation of a separate State, Reddy said, and expressed pain that the TRS government failed to speak even a single word about the ITIR.
The TPCC president also demanded that the government give pensions to jobless youths immediately.
He said that the Congress would extend its full support to the "Nirudyoga Dharma Yuddham" to be held at Osmania University.
