Senior leaders of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Monday called on CPI secretary K Narayana to explore the possibilities of alliance between the two parties in the next general elections.
TRS secretary K Keshava Rao and former MP B Vinod Kumar met Narayana on Monday.
Their meeting assumes significance following reports about the alliance between the Congress and the CPI for the next general elections.
The Congress party has agreed to leave one Lok Sabha and 12 Assembly seats to the CPI in the next elections. However, sources say that the TRS leaders have offered a better package to the CPI if it allies with TRS instead of with the Congress.
However, the leaders of neither parties specifies what transpired during their meeting on Monday. (INN)
