TRS Blocking Preparations For BJP Extravaganza: Kishan Reddy
The union minister alleged that the TRS was making all-out efforts to ensure that no promotion was given to the party's public meeting planned for July 3.
Union minister for tourism & culture G Kishan Reddy today alleged that the ruling TRS was making all-out efforts to ensure that no promotion was given to the two-day national executive council meetings of the party or the public meeting planned for July 3, by obstructing the party from even putting up flexes.
The minister made these remarks after inspecting the arrangements being made for the public meeting scheduled to be held at Parade Grounds, along with party leader and national OBC Morcha president Dr K Laxman.
He however said that the party would make the meeting a grand success despite the obstacles being created by the ruling party.
He alleged that the TRS had put up flexes and hoardings many times by wasting public money, but that it was now thwarting the BJP from putting up its own even with its own money.
He also warned the State government that the BJP would not keep silent if it harassed the party's leaders and workers.
Reddy said that the BJP would use the public meeting to explain the development works taken up by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his eight-year rule. He claimed that the Telangana society was eagerly waiting for the arrival of Modi to the State. He also said it was a rare occasion for the people to see the Prime Minister and the Chief Ministers of all the BJP-ruled States on one platform.
Laxman said that the objective of the public meeting of Modi was to help the BJP come to power in Telangana. He claimed that Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah had special focus on Telangana, and that the party would come into power in the State another year. Claiming that family-ruled parties would soon disappear from the country, Laxman said that Chief Minister KCR and his son KTR would face the same fate as the Thackerays in Maharashtra.
