In yet another headline-grabbing arrest showing the links between drug peddlers and the movie industry, Telugu film actor Varun Sandesh was arrested on Friday evening, when trying to buy cocaine from a seller.
Varun Sandesh was caught buying 50 grams of the banned substance cocaine from a Nigerian national, at Langar Houz in Hyderabad.
There were others, too, at the scene, and the offenders are in the custody of the Langar Houz police.
A junior artiste called Siddharth, a film producer and a director are also believed to be involved. More details are awaited.
