Telangana Used Only 514 Cr On Welfare In 2016: TDP

Telangana TDP President L Ramana today alleged that the people were being deprived of benefits due to the inefficiency of the TRS government in spite of the Union government funding various welfare projects.

In a media statement today, Ramana alleged that Telangana government failed to utilize the Central funds allotted for the 2016-17 financial year to its fullest. He said that the State government allotted Rs. 10,483 crores under the SC sub-plan and Rs. 6,171 crores under ST sub-plan in the 2016-17 financial year.

But out of these allotments, the State government had spent only Rs. 4,514 crores, of which the Centre's share itself was Rs. 4,000 crores, he pointed out.

People were not getting Central government benefits due to the inefficiency of the TRS government, Ramana claimed.
