Charging the Congress with being responsible for the uncertain political situation in Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Seeta Dayakar Reddy, on Friday, demanded that the ruling party in the state and the Centre should hasten in finding a solution to the contentious Telangana statehood imbroglio.
He alleged that the Telangana demand has turned into a crisis for the government, after Union Home Minister P Chidambaram made a historic statement on December 9th, 2009. That statement had sown differences between people who had been living in peace earlier, she stated.
Talking to mediapersons at the Assembly media-point, the MLA alleged that the Congress has been resorting to delaying tactics instead of trying to find a solution.
The tactics include targeting the TDP in general and its President N Chandrababu Naidu in particular, she hinted.
The MLA said that leaders from other parties have no moral right to talk against Naidu, as the TDP has already made its stand on a separate Telangana clear.
