Upon Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's directive, Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma announced a holiday on Tuesday.
As a result, offices, schools and colleges, and some business establishments, too, were shut down in Telangana.
KCR extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family members of the former President, and said that Kalam's death was a huge loss to the nation.
